How Boomerangs work
 

In this project you will be building a four-prong boomerang from wooden rulers. Prior to beginning you construction you need to read the Web Linkabove on boomerangs - how they work and their history. Your boomerang will look like this:

Quiz:

  1. Describe the Bernoulli effect
  2. Name two applications of the Bernoulli effect
  3. Name two major categories of fluids
  4. What happend to the volume of a gas when it is heated?
Project:
    While standing on one of the practice field "yard lines", you will throw your boomerang down the field. If it turns and returns to the yard line you threw from, you pass.
