3rd Block - Spring 2003 Take notes on the discussions everyday Remember the concepts and big ideas. Don’t try to memorize everything. Do all your homework and always keep a good, clean organized folder. Be involved. Always read your chapters ahead of time and know the vocabulary; that way you will have an idea of what’s going on. Use the internet games and study materials. Study from old test that way you will have an idea of how the test will be. Don’t cram things the night before the test. Review each night over everything you have went over that day. Set goals so that you can do your best. Always try your hardest and give it your best. Be a good communicator and participate in class activities. Know form and function. Hierarchy of things is important and can apply to anything. Don’t procrastinate. Have fun learning.   IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO DO ALL THIS, DON’T WASTE DR. 2nd Block - Spring 2003 10 SURE FIRE WAYS TO SURVIVE DR. H's CLASS Color AND Label ALL worksheets the day you get them and keep notebook up to date and organized ALWAYS; it does help your grade. Use all and any sources available and always check website. Apply all concepts to your own life....it helps you understand the concepts more. ALWAYS take notes on EVERYTHING and ALWAYS put them in your own words. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY, STUDY......and study more. Go all out and don't be afraid to speak up and try new things and poke at the dead body. Don't be afraid to argue with Dr. H, but know when to draw the line. Don't cry ya baby. Use book and answer questions at end of chapter....chapter summeries help a lot, too. If asked to leave the classroom, just leave until you have collected your thoughts and emotions and return to class before missing too much of the lesson. All and all, be dedicated and have fun while doing it. It's a lot of work, but you'll benefit from it all in the end.
