Beginning this 2003-2004 school year, my Anatomy and Physiology courses has been split into two courses: (1) Anatomy and (2) Physiology. This has been done to lengthen the course so that there is sufficient time to address all the state content standards. In addition, by making the Anatomy course a hands-on experiential class, the format more closely mirrors the lab portion of a post-secondary course. Thus, the Physiology course is freed to focus on higher level cognitive processes.
